What does your company do? ConcertCare offers a suite of technology solutions and consulting services designed to enable physician practices and other health care providers to operate at maximum efficiency and profitably - while delivering high-quality patient care.
What convinced you to start your company? I started ConcertCare when I became convinced that we could address many of the pains physicians feel today. We want to make a difference; not just for the way physicians serve patients, but for the way patients manage their own health and wellness.
How did you get into your industry? I come from a family of doctors. My previous venture was health care related. It has always been a passion of mine. I believe actions speak louder than words. Which is why my husband and I founded a clinic offering free health care services.
How were you financially able to get started? Bootstrapping and self-funded.
What is your biggest competition? The justifiable mistrust physicians have of any company who claims they can help them. Doctors have been burned so many times over the years, it's very hard to earn their trust.
What's the most difficult decision you've had to make? When we started out, we had an opportunity to generate revenue immediately. But we didn't know what our strategy was. So instead, we spent our first six to eight months developing our strategy. The revenue was tempting, but it would have all been wrong for us.
