A new agreement will give ConcertCare LLC exclusive rights to offer TechKnowledge's learning platform to the U.S. health care market.
For Tanveer Patel's growing ConcertCare, which offers consulting services and tools to medical practices, the agreement will provide even more opportunities for growth. For TechKnowledge, which developed a platform to make it easier for companies to train employees on new software systems, the deal represents more potential for growth.
But here's the really interesting part: Both companies are housed at Birmingham's Innovation Depot. Officials say the national agreement is a great example of the type of synergy they are creating at the incubator for early-stage startups.
Patel said her location at Innovation Depot paid off in that she was able to find an ideal partner to serve a national need right here in Birmingham.
"We had an opportunity look within before we reached out," she said.
As part of the TechKnowledge agreement, ConcertCare will create a library of tutorial videos for participants in the health care market - including employees of physician practices, hospitals and others.
The system enables employees at any physician practice or hospital licensing the platform to create and record their own tutorials for fellow employees, thereby giving novice users ready access to the information they need, when they need it.
